Copenhagen (aka ITU), conveniently located not far from the city centre at Rued Langgaardsvej 7. The university offers open wireless internet all over the building, and up-to-date projector and sound equipment
in all major conference rooms. The IT University of Copenhagen was founded 1999, and offers a variety of programmes
in an international atmosphere. Research and teaching are based on a broad approach to
IT, from a computer science, a business, and an arts and humanities perspective. The university moved into its current facilities in 2004, and the ITU building,
designed by the internationally renowned architect Henning Larsen, is already well-known
nationally for its innovative in-door architecture. Map with ITU's location in relation to inner city, with DR-Byen Metro marked (the nearest metro stop). See below for directions on how to get from the metro to ITU. Getting from Your Hotel to the Conference Venue From Hotel Opera and Hotel Maritime, the easiest thing is to take the metro from "Kongens Nytorv" to the "DR-Byen" metrostop (get on the Metro headed for "Vestamager"). It's a 6 min ride or so, and from DR-Byen is about a 7 min walk to the IT Unversity (ITU). From CabInn City, take bus 5A from Polititorvet (3 min walk from the hotel), direction "Kastrup/Lufthavn Udenrigs". It's a 8 min ride. Get off at the Amager Boulevard/Amager Fælledvej junction (ask the driver) and walk to the IT-University from there: just walk down Amager Fælledvej, and take a right at the first road on your right hand (Rued Langgaardsvej). ITU is the first building on your left, no. 7. This walk takes about 10 min. See also map, if in doubt. This English-language route planner might also be helpful.
